About Me

Hey - I’m Felix - nice to meet you!

I'm a meditation guide, musician, and creator working at the intersection of nervous system regulation, presence, and everyday life. 


My work is for people who are thoughtful, sensitive, and often overwhelmed by modern life - people who may already understand a lot intellectually, but still find their body stuck in stress, tension, or anxiety. Rather than offering quick fixes or big promises, I focus on creating calm, grounded spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and begin to feel more resourced from the inside.


I don’t work as a therapist, and I don’t position myself as someone who has “figured it all out.” What I offer is guided support rooted in presence, nervous system awareness, and lived experience -  a way of being with what’s here that is steady, real and realistic.


How I came to this work

My interest in nervous system regulation didn’t come from theory alone. It grew out of lived experience. You can read my backstory in my Book 'My Happiness Button' or the many videos I share online... but in a nutshell: 


Chronic health issues (e.g CFS at 19) and anxiety have played a significant role in my life. At times it was subtle and background; at other times it was intense enough to affect my body, my voice, my focus, and my sense of safety in the world. Like many people, I tried to “think my way out of it” - learning, analysing, searching for the right framework or explanation.


What slowly became clear was that understanding wasn’t enough. What mattered just as much was how I related to myself: the pace, the tone, the pressure (or lack of it) I brought to my inner world. I began to see that healing and regulation don’t happen through force or fixing, but through safety, presence, and repeated experiences of settling. That's how 'Let Your System Settle' was born. That's my 'slogan'. 


That insight now shapes everything I do.

Less than a year ago, my own anxiety was still strong enough that offering 1:1 work didn’t feel possible. Returning to this work has been a gradual process — one grounded in listening to my own capacity, respecting limits, and staying honest about what I can and can’t offer. That same care is something I bring into my sessions with others.


My approach

At the heart of my work is a simple question:


What does the nervous system need right now to feel a little safer, steadier, and more supported?


In sessions, we work gently and collaboratively. We might slow things down, orient to the present moment, notice sensations in the body, or explore simple grounding and regulation practices. Sometimes the work is subtle. Sometimes it’s quiet. Often it’s about creating enough internal safety for clarity to emerge on its own.


I’m particularly interested in approaches that respect both psychological depth and embodied experience — without bypassing, pathologising, or pushing for catharsis. I draw inspiration from mindfulness, nervous system education, somatic awareness, and parts-informed ways of relating to inner experience, while staying clear about scope and responsibility.


This work is not about diagnosing, fixing, or analysing you. It’s about helping you reconnect with a more grounded sense of self - one that can meet life with a little more steadiness and choice.


Training and experience


Alongside my lived experience, I’ve spent years creating and sharing guided meditations focused on nervous system regulation and grounding. My work reaches thousands of listeners across platforms such as Insight Timer and Aura, where I offer meditations and courses centred on calming, presence, and resilience. 


I’m also currently completing guided meditation framework training with Heather Haywood, which supports ethical, trauma-aware facilitation and reinforces the importance of clear boundaries and pacing in 1:1 work.


In parallel, I’m closely involved in the development of Kieferfreund (Jaw Yoga), a platform focused on jaw tension, clenching, and embodied self-care — further deepening my understanding of how stress and regulation show up physically in the body.


I’ve also written a book exploring wellbeing and inner resources (My Happiness Button), and I create music under the name Felix New, where themes of self-regulation, reflection, and growth continue to inform my creative work.


What this work is and isn’t...


This work is:

  • supportive, guided, and collaborative
     
  • focused on presence and nervous system regulation
     
  • paced and respectful of capacity
     

It is not:

  • psychotherapy or clinical treatment
     
  • crisis support
     
  • a promise of quick transformation
     

I believe clarity and safety come from being honest about limits, and I aim to make those limits explicit.

If my approach resonates, you’re welcome to explore working together. Some people come for a single session to check in and ground themselves; others choose to work over a longer period to build steadier regulation and support ongoing change.


You don’t need to be “ready” or have the right words. Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to slow down are enough.
